I'Onissimo! performs most of its concerts in I'On Village, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.  Signs are posted from the entrance of I'On to the locations of the concerts.

Getting to I'On-  To reach I'On from Charleston, travel North on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. to its intersection with Shelmore Blvd.  A CVS Pharmacy is on the Northeast Corner of that Intersection.  Turn left, North off the Highway on to Shelmore Blvd.  Drive North on Shelmore Blvd., passing the Bi-Lo Grocery Store on the Right until you reach the Traffic Circle.  Drive half way around the Traffic Circle and enter I'On, still on Shelmore Blvd.  This will bring you, after 100 feet on to I'On Square.

I'On Square- Some I'Onissimo! concerts are held right on the Square at O'Brion's Pub, Classical Pilates Studio and the Courtyard of Eye on Art. Parking for these concerts can be found in the lots hidden behind the buildings.  GPS coordinates for I'On Square are N 32° 48.754 W 079° 52.749. 

From I'On Square, you can reach the most commonly used I'Onissimo! performance venues as follows:

Westlake Corner Park- From I'On Square, travel North on Shelmore Blvd. passing Invitation Station and the Mark Horton Gallery in the Orange Building on your left.  Shelmore Blvd. will bend to the right.  After about 1200 feet, you will reach a three way intersection with Sowell Street.  Turn right on to Sowell Street and travel 400 feet East.  You will reach a second three way intersection with a brick house on the right side.  Faye Lane meets Sowell Street here.  Turn left and travel 200 feet to the corner of the lake where the corner park is located.  Concerts here are held on the other side of the raised retaining wall and a small acoustic shell is places atop the wall to improve sound quality.  Lawn chairs are suggested for this venue.
 

Perseverance Park Fountain Court- The Perseverance Park Fountain Court  in I'On is reached by traveling North on Shelmore Blvd. from I'On Square.  You will pass Invitation Station and the Mark Horton Art Gallery in an Orange building on the Left.  Continue North on Shelmore.  It will bend slightly to the right after leaving the Square.  Drive to and past the three way intersection with Sowell Street  You will reach and go around the left side of a small traffic Circle with an Oak Tree in the center.  Just past the small circle, street will split in two to go around Perseverance Park.  When you reach the fountain court on your left, West Shipyard will exit to the right.  Some concerts are held at the Fountain Court.  Folding chairs are suggested for concerts here.  When the trees here have canopied over and been pruned up, the space will be suggestive of a Gothic cathedral.

Amphitheater- To continue on to the Mt. Pleasant Amphitheater on Westlake, turn right on to West Shipyard opposite the fountain court and you will reach Westlake and the Amphitheater on your right in about 400 feet.  It is suggested that your bring blankets or folding chairs for concerts at the Amphitheater.  Royall Hardware in Mt. Pleasant sells a special I'Onissimo! Folding Chair designed for use at the Amphitheater.  Parking is most conveniently found to the Northwest of the Amphitheater on Hopetown, Port Royall St. and Shelmore Blvd.

The Amphitheater Stage is located at the exact center of I'On.
 

Creek Club, Shelmore Point- Begin as you would to reach the Perseverance Park Fountain Court or Amphitheater, but continue on Shelmore Blvd., past the fountain and park to the Point where the split in the road ends.  Bear to the right and continue on Shelmore until it ends in a three way junction with Saturday Road on the left and Hospitality Street on the Right.  Turn left on to Saturday Road and enter the parking lot on the right about 50 feet past the junction.  This is the parking area for the Creek Club.  After parking, walk 2 blocks North, towards the Water to reach the Creek Club.  Concert here are generally held with the musicians on the porch and the audience on the lawn.  Lawn chairs are suggested.

Holy Ascension Church- when completed in 2006, this remarkable building (pictured left) will provide space of indoor I'Onissimo! Concerts in its church hall.  The congregation also has its own choir which performs sacred music in the Orthodox Tradition.  There has also been discussion of building a bell tower for the church.  It will be located in I'On at the corner of Shelmore Blvd. and Sowell Street.
