Race Day Schedule for April 19

Start Point for all events is Mabank Green, except I'On Square Events.  Please check back for events to be added to this schedule.  Listen to ION Radio online at www.1ionradio1640.com for pre race reports on these activities about 30 minutes after each hour from now until race day.  Racers can register online or on the day of the race.

Bring a folding chair to really enjoy the races and try walking the sidewalks along the race course, watching the action from various locations, particularly the corners where some of the most exciting action can be found.  Walk in the opposite direction of the racing for the best experience.  Don't forget to visit the open Porch party at 48 Sowell or the Radio Broadcast at Sweet Olive Hone and Garden.

Community and spectator events associated with the race can change.  Please check back here prior to the races for the most current information and late additions to the spectator/social experience.

8:00 AM	Juniors 15-18, First Race of Day	25	minutes	Medals
8:01 AM	Juniors 10-14, Our youngest competitive race of the days.  Always a favorite.	25	minutes	Medals
8:30 AM	Open Porch Party begins at 48 Sowell St.		Continues to 3 pm
8:35 AM	WOMEN CAT 4	35	minutes	$200
9:20 AM	CAT 4/5, Race for Novice Bicycle Racers, Our Featured Racer Luke Correale will be in this race	40	minutes	Medals
10:00 AM	Food, Fun and Fitness opens on Maybank Green.  Food by O'Brion's Pub.  Get information on health and fitness.  Get a massage.  Shop for bicycle and fitness related equipment.  See the racers preparing to race and follow all the action with our professional race announcer.		Until 6 pm
10:10 AM	MASTERS Cat 4/5	45	minutes	$500

12:05 PM	Kids Race, 100 yards, participation ribbons to all kids racers. Tricycles, big wheels, beach bikes and strollers all welcome.	10	minutes	Ribbons

1:00 PM	Open Porch Party begins at 48 Sowell St..  Bring your noisemaker, folding chair and have some fun.  Lasts until 4 pm.	3	Hours	Free
:1:50 PM	Cat. 2/3 Advanced bike racers.	55	minutes	$800
2:55 PM	Cat. 3/4 Intermediate Racers who have completed at least ten sanctioned bicyle races	50	minutes	$500
3:00 PM	Head Shop Boys Concert begins on Maybank Green Racing and Jamming to your favorite hits from the 60s, 70s & 80s.		Continues to 6 pm	Free
3:55 PM	Women's Open - A fast competitive race.	50	minutes	$600
4:45 - 6:00 pm	Women's Race ends at Start Finish Line on Maybank Green, Prizes are awarded to the winners of the Women's Open.  Drawing for Second Child's Bicycle.   Music continues with the Head Shop Boys on Maybank green until 6 pm.
6:00 pm	Sung Vespers Service at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Guests Welcome,
7:00 pm	Screen on the Green Amphitheater – Spaceballs (PG) Join neighbors and friends for the first outdoor movie of 2008. A delightful way to spend a spring evening – bring chairs and blankets, munchies and drinks, and come have a fun time. As always, popcorn will be provided. The movie is free and open to the public.  Sponsored by the I'On Trust.
